CPR ratifies agreements with rail traffic controllers, police officers

Canadian Pacific Railway recently ratified separate collective-bargaining agreements with its rail traffic controllers and police officers.

CPR signed a three-year agreement with rail traffic controllers — represented by the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Rail Canada Traffic Controllers Union — in Calgary, Winnipeg and Montreal. Extending through 2008, the agreement includes wage increases, pension and benefit program improvements and work-life balance provisions.

The Class I also ratified a four-year agreement with members of the CPR Police Service, represented by the Canadian Pacific Police Association. Extending through 2009, the agreement includes wage increases and benefit program improvements.
