Wabtec adds two years to electrical, machine workers contract

Yesterday, Wabtec Corp. announced it agreed to extend a contract two years with the International Union of Radio Electrical and Machine Workers, Local 610, which represents about 180 workers at Wabtec's locomotive and rubber products divisions in Wilmerding and Greensburg, Pa.

Originally scheduled to expire April 30, 2007, the new contract now will expire April 30, 2009.

Wabtec supplies locomotive, freight- and passenger-car components, builds switcher and commuter locomotives, and provides aftermarket services, including locomotive and rail-car fleet maintenance.
