Pacer Stacktrain recently was chosen as the best intermodal service provider by Logistics Management readers.
Each year, the magazine conducts "Quest for Quality," a survey of transportation and logistics users. The survey asks readers to rank service providers' on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, and equipment and operations.
"Pacer Stacktrain's overall ranking was significantly higher than that of the second-ranked competitor and also significantly above the average for all intermodal providers," said Pacer Stacktrain President Tom Shurstad in a prepared statement. "In a period that has been marked by rail congestion and ongoing rail service issues, it is especially gratifying to be performing at higher standards of on-time reliability than even the railroads that provide the underlying carriage."
