CPR selects NS' TransWorks for intermodal platform

A Norfolk Southern Corp. subsidiary recently entered into a long-term agreement with Canadian Pacific Railway to streamline and further automate key intermodal processes.
Under an agreement announced July 12, CPR will implement TransWorks' Transportation Management Solutions, which includes integrated modules designed to streamline pricing, customer service, dispatch, equipment management and customer/vendor interfaces. TransWorks’ Business Process Automation combines document/event management with customer/vendor profiles to drive automated invoicing and settlement.
Launched by NS in 2001, TransWorks provides fully integrated, end-to-end solutions for shippers, carriers and transportation intermediaries.
