FRA Track & Roadway Workplace Safety Symposium

For the first time ever, the Federal Railroad Administration is hosting a collaborative safety gathering tailored to the industry's track maintenance and construction groups. The event will be held May 19-21, 2020, in Louisville, Kentucky. Industry experts will gather under one roof to share, learn, and grow together during breakout sessions related to track or roadway workplace safety.  The FRA’s approximately 180 track inspectors and specialists from across the nation to come together as an industry to advance wide-ranging aspects of safety in sessions covering: technological advancements in on-track safety and track inspection; derailment prevention; continuously welded rail management; active research projects with a safety focus; rail defect detection trends and best practices; and FRA regulatory guidelines.
