"Engineering for Efficient Railway Operations" is a short course that will be held Aug. 16-17, 2017, at the University of Delaware/Newark Campus. Intended for practicing engineers, planners and operating officials, the course also is "of benefit to graduate students intending to enter the passenger railway industry," according to course officials. The focus is on the relationship between the engineering configuration of railway systems and operating efficiency and performance.
