FTA extends application deadline for environmental training program

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has extended the deadline for transit agencies to apply for the next round of Environmental and Sustainability Management Systems (ESMS) training and technical assistance.
Agencies now have until Nov. 24 to apply for assistance and developing and implementing an ESMS, which allows an agency to analyze, control and reduce its environmental footprint.
The two-year program is conducted by Virginia Tech faculty. Application instructions can be found here.
