Forbes magazine has selected CSX as one of the top 500 employers for new graduates in 2026.
"The honor reflects our commitment to creating a workplace where early-career professionals can grow through meaningful development opportunities, cross-team collaboration, and a culture grounded in safety, service, and integrity,” CSX officials said in a press release.
To compile the magazine's ninth annual list, Forbes and market research firm Statista surveyed more than 100,000 young professionals working for U.S.-based companies with at least 1,000 employees. Respondents rated employers in areas including salary, benefits, advancement opportunities, AI adoption, work-life balance and company image.
According to the Forbes article, the best young candidates are those with a combination of critical thinking skills and tech savvy, and they are looking for support, mentoring and opportunities for growth.
“As our summer internship and Leadership Development programs get underway, we’re excited to help the next generation explore careers across every function of CSX,” company officials said.
CSX ranked 484 on the list; also making the list were Amtrak (205) and the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (352).
