CSX yesterday announced a collaboration with Southern Coil Solutions (SCS-02) as part of its launch of a rail-served warehouse for aluminum and steel coil storage and distribution in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The new 120,000-square-foot facility features cutting-edge automation and is strategically designed to serve as a transload hub, enabling seamless movement of coils to various destinations, CSX officials said in a press release.
The now-active warehouse is already attracting new prospects and is expected to generate multiple projects annually, said CSX Manager of Industrial Development Jody Lassiter.
The partnership with CSX enables SCS-02 to provide efficient and cost-effective rail transport solutions for its clients – and the company is strategically located to leverage that advantage, SCS-02 officials said in the CSX press release.
