CSX names Glassman VP-strategy

CSX Corp. has appointed Drew Glassman vice president-strategy, company officials announced yesterday.

Glassman, who has 25 years of experience in corporate finance, will oversee company-wide initiatives that position CSX for success, according to a CSX press release.

Previously, Glassman served CSX as VP-commercial finance, VP-operations finance, and as an assistant VP for finance, intermodal finance and intermodal marketing. He joined the Class I from AT&T in 2004.

"At CSX, we are focused on providing premier transportation services in an increasingly service-sensitive economy, all while becoming more productive and cost-efficient," said Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer Frank Lonegro. "This requires us to closely align the company's financial resources with our strategic vision. Drew’s keen analytical skills, deep understanding of our business and experience delivering detailed analysis and solutions to business issues will help us realize this vision."
