CSX auto service subsidiary secures AAR award again

Total Distribution Services Inc.’s (TDSI) Palm Center auto transload terminal in Jupiter, Florida, recently earned the Destination Automotive Quality Excellence Award from the Association of American Railroads for the fourth consecutive year. 

A CSX subsidiary, TDSI offers vehicle-handling services through a network of automobildistribution facilities, storage locations and terminals serving Eastern, Southeastern and Gulf Coast U.S. ports.

The award recognizes outstanding auto handling and unloading performance, honoring facilities that excel in minimizing damage and ensuring high-quality automotive transport. 

ThAAR cited the facility's exceptional commitment to safety, consistency and damage-free vehicle deliveryaccording to CSX. TDSI’s Palm Center terminal is jointly operated by Inter-Rail Transport of Palm Center LLC. 
 
About 10,000 vehicles are unloaded each day across the Class I’s network, with the primary goal of ensuring every unit reaches retail dealerships in perfect conditionCSX officials said in a press release 

The Palm Center team consistently meets this rigorous standard, setting a new benchmark for quality across the supply chain,” they said. “Operating with an outstanding safety and quality record, the [terminal’s] crew successfully navigated four highly demanding audits to secure this continuous recognition.
