Marquis to head operations for CP's Eastern Region
Canadian Pacific has named Tony Marquis vice president of operations-Eastern Region.
He most recently was president and chief executive officer of Colombian coal railroad Fenoco S.A., where he helped complete a corporate turnaround. Marquis previously was the owner and president of Strategic Training Simulators Inc., which designs, builds and installs locomotive simulators, and served CN for 25 years in various operating positions.
Marquis will join CP's senior operations leadership team that includes VP of Operations-Southern Region Robert Johnson and Senior VP of Operations-Western Region Guido De Ciccio. All three report to President and Chief Operating Officer Keith Creel.
"Tony is a leading railroader and will add to our considerable operations bench strength. He is passionate about our business and brings a strong service focus backed by years of Class I experience," said Creel in a press release.
