CN has been placed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI) for the seventh consecutive year and the North American index for the 10th consecutive year, the Class I announced yesterday.The DJSI World Index recognizes the top 10 percent of the 2,500 largest companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index from each sector based on their sustainability scores.The index surveys sustainability leaders from each industry on a global and regional level. Based on an analysis of economic, environmental and social performance, the annual review assesses issues such as corporate governance, risk management, climate change mitigation, supply chain standards, stakeholder engagement and labor practices.CN is the only Canadian company in the transportation and transportation infrastructure sector to be listed on the index, CN officials said in a press release."We are honored to be listed among the world's best and we continue to invest in building a sustainable future for our employees, our communities and our supply chain partners," said CN President and Chief Executive Officer JJ Ruest.
