CN creates intermodal chair at Montreal university

On Nov. 6, Canadian National Railway Co. announced it donated $1.2 million to Université de Montréal to create the CN Chair on Intermodal Transportation, which primarily will conduct research on the transportation mode and study government transportation policies.

"North America’s economic competitiveness and prosperity are closely linked to the continued strength of its transportation infrastructure," said CN President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Tellier in a prepared statement. "And the future of transportation on the continent lies with the innovations and development to be made around intermodal transportation services."
