Union Switch & Signal Inc. (US&S) recently completed a two-and-a-half year project under which the company installed next-generation dispatching software for CSX Transportation.
The software is the first step in CSXT’s multi-phased plan to transition from older dispatching systems to a next-generation system.
US&S installed integrated train-control system software that features advanced track and train authority and integrated security components. The software will enable CSXT dispatchers to manage train operations from any dispatching center.
