New York DOT schedules public meeting to review CSXT crossing closures

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) plans to hold a public hearing on March 21 in Fonda to review a request by CSX Transportation to close public grade crossings at Broadway and Center streets. If the crossings are closed, traffic would be diverted to the Bridge Street highway overpass.
The hearing will help the agency determine whether discontinuing and closing the two crossings is in the public interest, NYSDOT officials said in a meeting notice.
