Ansaldo Segnalamento Ferroviario recently installed a new signaling system for Companhia Brasileira de Trens Urbanos’ Belo Horizonte, Brazil, transportation system.
The system was installed on a portion of the 17.3-mile, 20-station Vilarinho-Eldorado metro line, which serves more than 350,000 passengers daily. Spanning the 4.3-mile Vilarinho-São Gabriel route, the $7 million signaling system will enable the railway to monitor and regulate headways and traffic.
