Thermal cameras detect heat and operate in all lighting conditions, including complete darkness. They ignore blowing debris, small animals, headlights or other movements that trigger alarms for visible cameras, while detecting people with high reliability, the company says.
The cameras can detect intruders from as far away as 600 meters and areas as wide as 125 meters, the company says. As a result, the cameras enhance the effectiveness of onsite guards by sending alerts, video evidence and precise location details of an intrusion, enabling security teams to know the nature of an alert and how best to respond.
