BNSF to offer intermodal service from Houston port to Dallas, Denver

BNSF Railway Co. announced this week it's launching intermodal service options from the Port of Houston to Dallas/Fort Worth and Denver.
Beginning June 2, the Class I will offer on-dock rail service from Barbours Cut Container Terminal at the Port of Houston to its intermodal facility in Alliance, Texas, BNSF officials said in a customer notification. Service also will be available from the terminal to BNSF's intermodal facility in Denver.
The new service supports supply-chain efficiency and has the potential to meet growing intermodal demand at the Port of Houston, BNSF officials said.
