advertisement
Yesterday, Amtrak Virginia announced that starting July 20, it will expand service to include daily round-trip service between Richmond, Va., and Washington, D.C.
Virginia’s second state-supported train, the new service is part of a three-year pilot program designed to provide more transportation options for Virginians, Amtrak officials said in a prepared statement. The program also includes new service between Lynchburg and the Northeast Corridor that was launched in October 2009.
