Amtrak and its partners involved with the Philadelphia 30th Street Station District plan will host an open house Jan. 28 to solicit public input on the project.

Community members may learn about the project in advance through the project's recently launched website.

The district plan for the station is a joint effort to create a single, integrated vision for the area surrounding the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. The goals of the plan center on the concepts of "community, connectivity and identity," Amtrak officials said in a press release.

The partners helping to lead the station planning effort include the Brandywine Realty Trust, Drexel University and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority. In addition, coordinating planning committee is active with members representing public and private agencies and stakeholders.
