Georgetown Rail Equipment Co.'s (GREX) board has elected Christopher Aadnesen as executive chairman. Aadnesen recently retired as president and chief executive officer of Alaska Railroad Corp. He has more than 40 years of experience in the railroad industry, including a previous stint as GREX's chairman from 2007 to 2010. Alstom, as leader of the UT Alstom-Sytecsa consortium, has been selected by Metro de Medellin to provide the power system for the new Ayacucho Tram under construction in Medellin, Colombia. Alstom's share of the contract is valued at more than $6.7 million.
