FreightCar America reported second-quarter 2025 revenue of $118.6 million and rail-car deliveries of 939 units, down from $147.4 million and 1,159 units, respectively, in the same period a year ago. The company posted Q2 2025 net income of $11.7 million, or 34 cents per share, and adjusted net income of $3.8 million, or 11 cents per share. Received new orders for 1,226 rail cars within the quarter valued at $106.9 million. FreightCar ended the quarter with a backlog of 3,624 units valued at $316.9 million, up 300 units from prior quarter, reflecting strong order activity and healthy demand, company officials said in a press release.
Tealinc LLC has combined with Midwest Railcar Corp., a provider of rail-car leasing, rail-car trading and rail fleet management services across North America, Tealinc officials said in a post on LinkedIn. Going forward, Tealinc will operate under the Midwest Railcar brand. "This integration brings together two experienced teams with a shared mission: helping customers navigate market cycles, manage their railcar strategies and grow their businesses with confidence," the post stated. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Forte Construction Corp. replaced two elevators at the 66 Street-Lincoln Center 1 subway station as part of larger accessibility upgrades across the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) network. The station served near 4.8 million riders in 2023, an 18.8% increase from the prior year, according to a Forte press release. A joint venture between Forte and Gramercy Group Inc., the project saw both the uptown and downtown elevators replaced simultaneously, beginning in October 2024 and finishing at the end of June.
