R.J. Corman Railroad Switching Co. LLC, a subsidiary of R.J. Corman Railroad Group, announced yesterday an agreement to provide Sasol with switching services at its Lake Charles Chemical Complex in Westlake, Louisiana.

Sasol provides specialty and commodity chemicals for a wide range of industries. R.J. Corman will employ more than 50 people at the site to cover switching operations served by Kansas City Southern through the adjacent Mossville Yard and line, R.J. Corman officials said in a press release.

Financial terms of the five-year contract were not disclosed.

This is the second location R.J. Corman’s switching company opened in Louisiana this year after commencing operations to support Graphic Packaging International in West Monroe, company officials said. The subsidiary now operates 21 divisions between its automotive and industrial switching sites in 11 states.
