Canadian Pacific Railway recently joined e-RAILSAFE, an industry-wide safety and security initiative that calls for background screening, credentialing and tracking of railroad contractors and their employees.
In 2005, e-VERIFILE.COM Inc. developed e-RAILSAFE after several Class Is selected the consultant to augment safety and security at railroad facilities. CPR is the sixth railroad and second Canadian road to join the program.
As an e-RAILSAFE member, CPR will require its contractors/vendors and their employees who operate at U.S.-based properties to comply with the program’s safety requirements.
