Kansas City Southern de México S.A. de C.V. (KCSM) recently appointed Jose Guillermo Zozaya Delano president and executive representative. To serve as KCSM’s primary executive representative in Mexico, Zozaya succeeds KCSM Chief Executive Officer Javier Rión, who in December announced he would leave his post in early 2006.

Zozaya will report to KCSM Chairman Mike Haverty — who also serves as chairman, president and CEO of KCSM parent Kansas City Southern — and KCSM Vice Chairman, and KCS Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Art Shoener.

Zozaya most recently was legal and government relations director for ExxonMobil Mexico S.A. de C.V., where he served in various capacities for nine years. He has 35 years’ experience in law and government relations, mergers and acquisitions, and contracts.

“Zozaya’s diverse corporate background and relationship-building expertise will provide essential communications between the company and important stakeholders in Mexico,” said Haverty in a prepared statement.
