More than 60 representatives of food processors and produce shippers from the Quincy, Wash., area turned out for a recent open house at the Port of Quincy Intermodal Terminal to learn about a new expedited intermodal rail service for Washington state produce and perishable shippers.
Hosted by Rail Logistics, the open house gave shippers the opportunity to ask questions about the new service, which is comparable to truck shipping, according to a prepared statement issued by Rail Logistics.
Shippers also viewed a new cold train intermodal 53-foot, temperature-controlled container.
