The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) earlier this month received the "Best Diversity Program" award from Canadian HR Reporter magazine.TTC's program includes diversity and inclusion training, mentoring and professional development training, and a "diversity and inclusion lens" that is aimed at helping TTC employees see things from different perspectives. In addition, TTC recently expanded its human rights department to include diversity. The agency also launched a two-year plan to raise awareness, build a foundation of knowledge and develop programs and initiatives to support diverse groups, TTC officials said in a press release."It's such an honor to win this award," said TTC Manager of Diversity Karen Kuzmowich. "I think it has the potential for raising the profile of the program both here internally at TTC and to our customers so that they're aware of the efforts that we're taking to try to make TTC more diverse and inclusive."
