The Terre Haute Economic Development Corp. (THEDC) recently announced a 4,650-acre, rail-served property in southern Vigo County, Ind., is available for development.Located 75 miles southwest of Indianapolis near the Indiana/Illinois border, the site is adjacent to rail lines operated by CSX Transportation and the Indiana Rail Road Co. The land is owned by Terre Haute businessman Greg Gibson."With existing dual rail service ... coupled with other robust infrastructure onsite or within very close proximity, we believe the site has the potential to bring significant economic benefits to west-central Indiana," said THEDC President Steve Witt in a press release.
