Amtrak's Acela Express campaign pays dividends

advertisement

The Acela Express ad campaign that Amtrak launched last September is grabbing attention.

Featuring illustrations by artist Michael Schwab — who is known for his work with clients such as Apple, Coke and Nike — the ads include a drawing of an Acela Express train in the foreground of either Boston, New York or Washington, D.C., skylines.

Due to a strong customer response to the campaign, the national passenger railroad is selling advertising posters at its online store, www.amtrak.com/store.

Since the ads were released, customers have been contacting Amtrak to request copies. There are four posters for sale — the Boston, New York and Washington, D.C., versions, and a version featuring all three cities.

The set of four posters is available for $15; individual posters are $5 each.
