The Association of American Railroads' Policy and Economics Department recently released the 26th edition of its annual "Analysis of Class I Railroads" report.

The book includes 2003 data for each of the seven Class Is that operated in the United States. The latest volume features more than 750 statistics for each Class I, as well as data aggregated by eastern and western districts, and the United States as a whole. Categories include financial results, employment, plant and equipment, traffic, fuel consumption, operating statistics and rankings.
