Penta's cPCx IP-based digital communications system is a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art, open architecture communications system designed to improve the accessibility, efficiency, and functionality of today's dispatching.
Designed with over 30 years corporate experience and the reliability of our workhorse PCx system, the cPCx is built around a standard's based Compact PCI digital platform supporting the H.110 bus architecture and IP based telephony. Penta's cPCx Communications Control System includes redundant hot swappable power supplies as well as redundant CommServers running the latest Windows server OS, Penta cPCx Server application, remote management, and remote access. The cPCx uses a compact PCI chassis capable of integrating the control of as many as 4096 circuits in a single chassis using high density digital interfaces. Individual access modules include up to 120 ports of VOIP (per module), four to sixteen T1/E1 ports, PRI-ISDN, DS0, high density FXS, FXO, E&M, 2-wire, and 4-wire devices. Circuit types that can be accessed include SIP devices, radios, telephones, PBX lines, PSTN, intercoms, consoles, most standards based VOIP (G.711, H.323, G.711, G.726, G.729 and others), emergency phones, phones, fiber, and microwave.
A typical cPCx system includes VOIP connected Control Consoles with Penta's new custom control based GUI, a single central equipment rack with redundant Compact PCI chassis, redundant CommServers, redundant hot swappable fan and power supply trays, redundant alarm modules, redundant interface modules each with 120 ports of VOIP and 192 ports in eight T1s, 10/100/1000 Managed Network Switch, KVM, rack mount keyboard, rack mount LCD display, rack mount power conditioning.
