Tiefenbach Switch Zone Protection and Automated Switch Control

Tiefenbach may be well known for its highly reliable axle counter based grade crossing systems and our industry standard wheel sensors. However, did you know we are also known throughout the world for our standalone and multi switch zone protection systems? We recently installed our newest TMC'II processor based switch protection system on a switch group at a large Midwest hump yard.

Tiefenbach offers a wide variety of switch protection equipment, ranging from customized software based systems ideally suited to yard applications, stand-alone switch zone protection applications and switch control systems, which offer cost effective solutions for automating remote switches on both controlled and non-controlled territory.

In addition to highly flexible equipment designed to meet the demands of our class-one rail and transit customers, we also offer equally reliable cost effective switch protection systems tailored to the needs of short-line and for industrial railroad applications.

Tiefenbach offers a wide variety of custom engineered and manufactured systems designed to meet the rigorous requirements of the rail, transit and industrial plant industries. Through the use of our proven wheel sensor technology, we can eliminate many environmental variables, which limit the reliability of traditional track circuits. Unlike many alternatives to traditional track circuits, the use of axle-counting technology is immune to almost all environmental variables and outside influences, resulting in incredible long-term reliability.

Put our nearly four decades of problem-solving experience to use. Our systems are designed for a wide range of signaling applications from grade-crossing protection to block signaling, interlocking systems, and other applications requiring an alternative to the traditional track circuit technology.
