Cumber appointed exec VP of Florida East Coast Railway

On Monday, Florida East Coast Railway announced that Husein Cumber has been appointed executive vice president-corporate development.

Cumber will be based out of Bowden Yard in Jacksonville, Fla., and report to President and Chief Executive Officer James Hertwig.

Cumber most recently was president of H.A. Cumber & Co., a transportation consulting firm. He previously led public affairs for Florida East Coast Industries Inc.; served as deputy chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT); and was assistant to the secretary for policy at USDOT.
