GATX Rail recently named William Groos senior vice president-GATX Maintenance Network. He will be responsible for GATX Rail's North American network of major service centers, mini shops and mobile units.
Groos most recently was chief executive officer of rail-car repair and maintenance services provider Millennium Rail Inc. He previously served as president of Rescar Inc., and held senior operations positions at Itel Rail and Union Tank Car Co.
"We expect Bill's expertise to figure prominently in our initiative to further improve the quality of our customer service and the competitiveness of our owned service network," said GATX Rail Executive Vice President of Operations Terrence Heidkamp in a prepared statement.
A wholly owned GATX Corp. subsidiary, GATX Rail provides rail-car, locomotive and aircraft leasing services.
