advertisement
Three projects are under way to restore or repair Port Authority Trans Hudson Corp. facilities and track that were damaged in the Sept. 11 World Trade Center attacks: Phase I Downtown Restoration Program, the temporary World Trade Center Station and Exchange Place Station.
Union Switch & Signal Inc. May 28 announced it had been awarded a contract to provide signaling and control systems as part of the projects.
US&S will provide its Microlok® wayside control system, Genisys ® II non-vital logic emulators, vital and non-vital interface circuits, and 60-hertz track circuits. The systems, which will be required for rail service to be restored under the Trade Center site, are scheduled to be in service by Nov. 1, 2003.
