USDOT unveils new 'Buy America' webpage

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) unveiled a new “Buy America” webpage that provides information about the federal requirements for transportation infrastructure projects that must incorporate American-made products.

The new webpage, www.dot.gov/buyamerica, consolidates access to the Buy America provisions across all USDOT agencies. While there are similarities, the USDOT’s operating administrations have different Buy America statutory provisions.

The new site provides access to each agency’s provisions, requirements and waiver processes. Companies can subscribe to receive alerts when new Buy America information for USDOT-funded infrastructure projects is posted.
