Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) representatives and other public officials gathered Monday to mark the completion of the agency’s $1.4 million project to rebuild Langhorne Station.

Funded by federal stimulus dollars, the project featured the installation of energy-efficient heating, cooling and lighting systems; expansion of passenger waiting areas; and installation of electrical, communications and public address systems.

The station serves riders on SEPTA’s West Trenton regional rail line.

“The improvements and new building at Langhorne Station demonstrate SEPTA’s commitment to investing in our communities,” SEPTA General Manager Joseph Casey said in a prepared statement.
