Denver RTD receives FTA grant for workforce initiative

The Regional Transportation District of Denver (RTD) has obtained a $486,465 grant from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for a workforce development initiative.

The Workforce Initiative Now (WIN) — a partnership between RTD, Community College of Denver, Urban League of Metropolitan Denver and Denver Transit Partners — strives to meet the hiring and training needs of local employers, WIN officials said in a prepared statement.

“The WIN partners are encouraged that this level of commitment from FTA may indicate that the collaborative workforce partnership will be used as a model for future transit projects,” the officials said.
