The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) recently released a long-range transportation plan that outlines multi-modal transportation improvements throughout the county.

“Destination 2035: Moving Toward a Greener Tomorrow” calls for expanding transportation system options, improving transportation system performance and ensuring sustainability.

To help meet those goals, OCTA is proposing to invest in the Metrolink commuter-rail system, expand Metrolink service within Orange County and to neighboring counties, expand access to Metrolink stations and support California high-speed rail.

OCTA updates its long-range plan every four years to account for new planning efforts, as well as changes in demographics, economic conditions and available transportation funding.
