BLET reaches tentative contract with M&NA

The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) has reached a tentative agreement with the Missouri & Northern Arkansas Railroad (M&NA) governing the rates of pay, benefits and work rules for nearly 80 operating employees. 

Active BLET members working for M&NA must vote on the contract by June 20. 

The BLET originally organized the M&NA operating employees in 1999. They are part of the BLET's Burlington Northern Santa Fe General Committee of Adjustment.

A subsidiary of Genesee & Wyoming Inc., M&A operates 490 miles of rail line in Arkansas and Missouri. It interchanges with Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF Railway Co. and Kansas City Southern
