Based in Lone Star, Texas, the short line provides service to U.S. Steel's Texas Tubular operations, as well as four other customers along its 7.6-mile line. The Texas & Northern interchanges with Kansas City Southern at Veals Yard.
The short line is owned by Transtar Inc., which also operates the Delray Connecting Railroad Co., Gary Railway Co., Lake Terminal Railroad Co. and Union Railroad Co.
