Viterra expands CN-served grain elevator in Saskatchewan

Yesterday, Viterra Inc. announced it expanded its Fairlight, Saskatchewan, grain elevator. The company, which provides ingredients to global food manufacturers, worked with CN to increase the facility’s rail-car spotting capability to 100 cars and expand storage capacity.
"Viterra's investment in this facility will ensure more efficient movement of grains and oilseeds for our customers,” said Bob Miller, Viterra's senior vice president of grain-North America, in a prepared statement.
Coupled with CN’s scheduled grain service, the expansion “will enhance our joint ability to meet the shipping and handling needs of southeastern Saskatchewan grain farmers,” added Andy Gonta, CN’s VP of bulk sales and marketing.
A global agribusiness, Viterra operates in Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and China.
