The unique Improved-Concrete system takes advantage of OMNI'S 25 years
experience in rubber crossings by incorporating our RailGuard panels, a
full 6 '' of solid molded virgin rubber on both sides of the rail. These
RailGuard panels increase safety for pedestrians and bicyclists by providing
a positive flangeway and can be molded to meet ADA requirements. The system
also controls surface water and provides excellent electrical resistance
especially under heavy snow and ice conditions and prevents shunting and
false signal activation. RailGuard panels are custom molded to fit most rail
fasteners on the market today. The solid molded flangeways are full depth
and are a excellent alternative to the cheap paper thin extruded flange
rubber seen around the industry today.
