WHITING CORPORATION, PORTABLE ELECTRIC JACKS

Reliability is carefully engineered into every Whiting Portable Electric Jack. The outstanding design and top quality construction of this product ensures years of dependable service with minimum maintenance.

STEEL COLUMN ASSEMBLY
Quality construction starts with a steel column welded to a steel base at Whiting by AWS certified welders. This assembly is where the high strength steel buttress thread screw, aluminum bronze nut, worm wheel, gear and thrust bearing are housed. The result is smooth, dependable load-lifting capacity.

SPECIALIZED BRACKET DESIGN
In addition to our standard and low lift brackets, Jacks can be equipped with a variety of special Lifting Brackets in order to meet dimensional and/or physical restrictions of the lifting pad on the particular railcar or locomotive application.

POWER LIFTING & LOWERING
The combination of a buttress thread jack screw and worm gearing provides a system where power is required to lift and lower a load. A reversible electric motor meeting NEMA D requirements with integral disc brake provided the driving power. The reversible electric motor with an integral disc brake and worm gearing contributes to the outstanding driving power of Whiting Portable Electric Jacks.
