Construction Institute, Hartford, Conn. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Center for Professional Development at the University of Hartford will offer a new two-day course for practical engineering on the design and rating of railroad bridges. The course will cover the basics of the different types of railroad decks, AREMA code requirements regarding bridges, a detailed step-by-step actual design of a railroad bridge and the rating of an existing bridge.
