KCSR wins ACC's 'responsible partner' award
The
Kansas City Southern Railway Co. (KCSR) recently received the Responsible Care® Partner Award from the
American Chemistry Council (ACC).
Responsible Care® is the chemical industry's environmental, health, safety and security performance initiative. Responsible Care® award winners are selected for the ACC by an external expert committee.
KCSR, along with Miller Transporters Inc. and WTS Inc., won the Responsible Care® Partner Award, which recognizes the performance and safety record of companies involved in the distribution, transportation, storage, use, treatment, disposal, or sales and marketing of chemicals.
“Moving our customer’s freight in a safe and secure manner everyday is a priority for the KCS teams in both the U.S. and Mexico,” said Kansas City Southern President and Chief Executive Officer David Starling in a prepared statement.
