Evergreen Shipping honors CN as top railroad of 2011

Evergreen Shipping Agency (America) Corp. recently named CN the 2011 Railroad Company of the Year. The award recognizes the Class I’s consistently high service performance, Evergreen Shipping officials said in a prepared statement.

Evergreen Shipping is the North American general agent for ocean carrier Evergreen Line, which discharges and loads containers for CN at Port Metro Vancouver. The railroad hauls Evergreen Line traffic between the port and Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Toronto; and Montreal.

“At CN, we are dedicated to operational and service excellence, and are committed to continually raising the bar on our performance,” said Jean-Jacques Ruest, CN’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
