CSXT to upgrade three Ohio grade crossings

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) recently approved construction authorization from the Ohio Rail Development Commission directing CSX Transportation to install flashing lights and gates at three grade crossings in Freedom Township.

The railroad will perform the work at the following crossings: Dairy View Road/Township Road 60, Hill Road/Township Road 259 and Gibsonburg Road/Township Road 13. CSXT also will close a crossing at Stein Road/Township Road 260.

Work must be completed by Jan. 25, 2013. Funding will be covered by federal dollars.
