Progressive Railroading launched the Women of Influence in Rail recognition program in 2025 to highlight the significant contributions women make to the railroad industry. Since then, more than 100 women have been recognized for their dedication to moving the industry forward.

We're looking for the next class of Women of Influence in Rail — women who are trailblazers in leadership, innovation, sustainability and technology.

From Oct. 5 through Nov. 30, 2026, we invite rail-sector companies to nominate the women who are creating a positive change in their organizations and the larger North American railroad industry. Selected nominees will be recognized in the March 2027 edition of Progressive Railroading.
